TCRC Donation Guidelines
1. General Policy
Twin-City Run Club (TCRC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting health, fitness, and community engagement through running and walking events. All
donations made to TCRC support our mission and are used to fund programs, events, and operational expenses in accordance with our bylaws.
2. Acceptable Donations
TCRC accepts the following types of donations:
- Monetary Donations: Cash, checks, credit/debit card payments, and online contributions.
- In-Kind Donations: Goods or services that benefit the organization, such as running gear, event supplies, or professional services.
- Sponsorships: Corporate or individual sponsorships for events, programs, and initiatives.
3. Donation Process
- Donations can be made online through the official TCRC website, by mail, or in person at designated events.
- Donors will receive a receipt for all monetary contributions for tax purposes.
- In-kind donations must be pre-approved and coordinated with TCRC leadership.
4. Tax-Deductibility
- Twin-City Run Club is a nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
- Donors should consult with their tax advisor for specific tax benefits related to their contributions.
5. Restricted vs. Unrestricted Donations
- Unrestricted Donations: Contributions that TCRC may use at its discretion to support operations and programs.
- Restricted Donations: Contributions designated for a specific purpose must be used accordingly. Any restrictions must be agreed upon in writing before acceptance.
6. Refund Policy
- All donations are final. Refunds are only granted in the case of a processing error.
7. Recognition & Donor Privacy
- TCRC may recognize donors in publications, events, or online unless the donor requests anonymity.
- Donor information is confidential and will not be shared or sold.
8. Corporate & Matching Gifts
- TCRC encourages corporate giving and matching gift programs. Donors should check with their employer to see if they offer donation matching.
9. Use of Donations
- All funds and donated goods are used solely to further TCRC’s mission and programs.
- An annual financial report will be available to donors upon request.

TCRC Membership Rules
All members of Twin-City Run Club agree to abide by the following rules:
Membership Eligibility:
- Membership is open to individuals of all fitness levels.
- Members must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
Conduct and Respect:
- Members must treat all participants with respect and uphold TCRC’s values as a faith-based organization.
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Health and Safety:
- Members should consult a physician before participating in physical activities.
- Members must notify organizers of any medical conditions that may affect participation.
Dues and Fees:
- Membership is 100% FREE (Individual, Dual, or Family).
- Twin-City Run Club will NEVER require fees to join or renew.
Event Participation:
- Members must register for events in advance and adhere to all event guidelines.
- Members participate at their own risk and must follow safety instructions.
Termination of Membership:
- TCRC reserves the right to revoke membership for violation of rules or conduct deemed inappropriate.
TCRC Volunteer Rules and Policy
Volunteers are an essential part of Twin-City Run Club (TCRC).
By volunteering, individuals agree to adhere to the following policies and guidelines:
1. Volunteer Eligibility
- Volunteers must be at least 16 years old or have parental consent.
- Volunteers must complete a registration form and, if required, undergo a background check.
2. Code of Conduct
- Volunteers must uphold the mission and values of TCRC and conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner.
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Volunteers should arrive on time, fulfill their assigned duties, and notify TCRC staff if they cannot attend a scheduled event.
3. Responsibilities
- Volunteers may assist with event setup, water stations, registration, safety monitoring, and cleanup.
- Volunteers must follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by TCRC staff.
4. Liability and Safety
- Volunteers acknowledge that they participate at their own risk and agree to release TCRC from any liability for injuries or damages sustained
while volunteering. - Volunteers must report any safety concerns or incidents immediately to TCRC staff.
5. Termination of Volunteer Status
- TCRC reserves the right to terminate a volunteer’s participation for failure to adhere to club policies or for conduct deemed inappropriate.

Participant Waiver and Release of Liability
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
I, the participant(S), acknowledge that participating in running and walking events organized by Twin-City Run Club (TCRC) involves inherent risks, including
but not limited to falls, collisions, road conditions, weather hazards, and health risks such as dehydration or heart-related conditions.
1. Assumption of Risk
- I voluntarily participate in TCRC activities with full knowledge of the potential risks involved and accept full responsibility for my own safety.
2. Release of Liability
- I hereby release, waive, and discharge Twin-City Run Club, its officers, directors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability for injuries, damages,
or losses sustained as a result of my participation in club activities.
3. Medical Treatment Authorization
- In case of a medical emergency, I authorize TCRC to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf and agree to bear all associated costs.
4. Media Release
- I grant permission for TCRC to use photographs or videos of me participating in events for promotional and educational purposes.
5. Acknowledgment
- I confirm that I am physically fit to participate and have consulted a physician if necessary. I understand this waiver applies to all TCRC activities and is
binding upon my heirs, successors, and assigns.
Prayer Request Rules and Policy
Twin-City Run Club (TCRC) welcomes prayer requests as part of its mission to foster a supportive and faith-based community.
Members and participants are encouraged to submit prayer requests under the following guidelines:
1. Submission Guidelines
- Prayer requests should be submitted through the official TCRC channels (website, email, or in-person at designated meetings).
- Requests must be respectful and appropriate, aligning with the values of TCRC as a faith-based organization.
2. Confidentiality and Sharing
- Members may choose to submit requests publicly or anonymously.
- Confidential requests will only be shared with the TCRC leadership and prayer team.
- Public requests may be shared in newsletters, group meetings, or prayer circles with permission.
3. Respectful Communication
- Requests should be made in a respectful and uplifting manner.
- Requests that contain offensive language, political messages, or personal attacks will not be accepted.
4. Follow-Up and Support
- TCRC may offer follow-up prayer or spiritual support if requested.
- Members are encouraged to support one another in prayer, fostering a community of faith and encouragement.
